1.      Let’s meet and see if we click together. After all, we are about to embark on a very intimate experience and it is important that you feel comfortable with those who will attend the birth of your baby.

 2.      Are our perspectives about birth compatible? Dedicated Doulas' mission is to serve you, your needs, ideas and values, not to impose our own.

 3.      Availability? Dedicated Doulas will be available 2 weeks before the due date through 2 weeks after your birth experience. A back-up doula will always be available if, for any reason, your primary doula is not immediately available. You will not be left alone.

 4.       Logistics. Distance is not a problem. We will be in contact from the first signs of labor. Dedicated Doulas will come to you just before you are in, or just after you are in active labor. As the time between the onset of labor and active labor can take many hours, we will have ample time to be at your side when we are needed.

 5.       Financial Arrangements. These include:      

* On-Call fee: Dedicated Doulas will be available for visits and phone calls from two weeks before your due date until 2 weeks after the birth; 

* Birth Fee:  Dedicated Doulas has a flat rate regardless of the number of hours it takes.  An average birth can last 18 to 24 hours or longer.
